Scary Road (With VIDEO!)

Believe it or not, it's been exactly one year since we first moved to England. Some of you may recall our first few weeks here. One of the most memorable experiences for me was learning to drive. Since Brian got right to work, I had the terrifying task of driving around England looking for a house on my own. I remember following the real estate agent out to our house in Walsham for a viewing. She was driving at a normal rate of speed for someone accustomed to European cars and country roads. In other words, she was going at least 60 around turns and curves that would no doubt flip an American-sized SUV. I, on the other hand, trailed behind doing 30 and still ended up with a front, left hub cap that now requires zip ties to stay put.

I'll never forget that first trip down the Scary Road. It is, for your information, properly named The Street. Seriously, it's called "The Street." Apparently the road-namers ran out of ideas once they got to Walsham. Anyhow, we seriously considered not moving here after driving down this road a few times. The video doesn't really do it justice, but you can ask my father-in-law how frightening it is. I nearly killed them on that road while he and Robyn were here. And, no, it wasn't intentional.

Oh my!!! Isn't there a law over there about driving while under the influence of a camcorder?

I would love to come back and drive "Scary Road" myself....and then maybe I'll climb the outside of the Empire State Building.

BE SAFE!!!!!

Love you,

Dad

Katy,

Again I will say, you should not be doing this! I am terrified just watching this video. I was concered about Brian flying ,not you driving. Oh wait, I guess I should be concerned about you driving. I won't list the number of "little fender benders" you have had over the years. If you have to drive while filming could you please keep it to yourself!!!

I hope you will post the pictures of everything you have done while Brian has been gone. Of course wait until he comes home just in case he happens to read the site!

Love you,
Mama

very cool touch with Sammy Haggar. That is one of my theme songs. I can't wait to make that drive myself. I really hope our mother is in the car with me. Now that would be a great video. Love ya!
